10. | PULSIFER David was born on 06 Dec 1791 in Rockingham, Windham Co, VT (son of PULSIFER David and RUSSELL Priscilla); died in 1867 in Brimfield, IL. Notes:
Resided between Rockingham and South rockingham. His farm joined that
ofElias Pulsipher and the neighborhood was known as "Pulsipher
Hollow". He was for many years a drover and drove cattle and sheep
from northern N.H. and Vt. on foot to Boston markets before the
Cheshire R.R. was built, and later loading on the cars at Fitchburg,
winchendon, and Bellow Falls; seriously injured early in the 1850's
by being crushed in a car by unruly cattle and never fully recoved.
He was a large man, of great energy, deeply interested in public
affairs, in the education of his children and in the churches of the
town. He sold his farm about 1860 and removed to South Rockingham and
in 1865 to Brimfield, Ill. where he died in 1867 at the home of his
daughter, Elizabeth.
David married LANE Rebecca on 15 Mar 1815. Rebecca (daughter of LANE Ephraim and ABBOTH Elizabeth Danforth) was born in 1794 in "of Walpole"; died on 05 Feb 1847 in Rockingham, Windham Co., VT. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
