  1. 8.  Baudet-dit-Morency Jean was born in 1648 in Blanzay, Monmorillon, Poitiers, France (son of Baudet-dit-Morency Sébastien and BAUDONNIER Marie); died on 13 Jul 1714 in Laneuville, Ste-Croix, PQ, Canada.

    Notes:

    According to census of 1666, he was working as a domestic for Nicolas Gaudry, in Neuville. When he married, he lived on a farm at Champigny, in l'Ancienne Lorette. Ath the census of 1681, he was living in Lotbiniere. He owned 1 cow and 3 acres of land.

    Bordering his property, wer Michel Lamy (Lemay) and Jean Hamel. Baudet had a good business, he was selling eels in Montreal to the merchants Jean Millot and Charles de Couage.

    He must have died in 1714, as the inventory of his possessions was drawn up by Leneville on July 13, 1714.

    In 1909, the Baudet family were still occupying the ancestral land.
