  Notes	One of the founders of Hartford Connecticut, and one of the original founders. One of 7 first to settle of 24 founders of Northampton Massachusetts on 9th of may 1654. He was a farmer and weaver. One of the original signers of the original petition to inhabit Nonotuck (Northampton). Home lot was on the easterly side of Pleasant Street, below what is now Pearl Street. The old Root homestead was on King Street, opposite where the Roman Catholic Church once stood.
