- He was a lawyer by profession, but after he came to New England followed husbandry. He settled in Kent street, Scituate, in 1633, and was taxed there June 2, 1633. He was one of the founders of the church January 8, 1635, was deputy to the general court 1639 and 1640. His will was dated November 24, 1643.
