Gauthilds moder var Alöf, en dotter af Nerikes-Konungen Olof Skygne eller den Skarpsynte. [1] In English Ynglinga Saga Algaut Gautreksson son of Gautrek the Mild, son of Gaut (from whom Gothland got it's name). His wife was Alov, daughter of Olaf the Sharp-Sighted, King in Nerike.[2] He had a daughter, Gauthild whom he married to Ingjald Onundsson, aka Ingjald the Bad.
