She bases this on the fact that Ermengarde and her husband Bernard, had children who were given the names Warin and Ava and also on the ownership of the villa of Cluny which the elder Warin acquired, and then appears much later in Ermengarde's children." Answer by Peter Stewart in 2003: Bernhard II known as Plantevelue (Plantapilosa), born at Uzès on 22 March 841, was lay abbot of Saint-Julien de Brioude (evidently by right of his wife), count of Autun, Rodez & Auvergne (after 872), and died between 20 June 885 & August 886. His wife Ermengardis (birth year unknown, died after June 881) was daughter of another Count Bernhard & Liedgardis - he is thought to have been count of Auvergne & lay abbot of Saint-Julien de Brioude, but this is not certain. later comment (in part) by Cris: appears to be a popular view, where 'Bernard' = the fa. of Plantevelue's wife.
