| Notes |
- Teresa Ériz was a daughter or Ero Fernández a member of the nobility "during the reigns of Ordoño II and Alfonso IV Kings of León and conde (Count), based at Lugo in central Galicia."[1]
There are no primary sources that confirm whether Teresa was the child of Ero's first wife, Adosinda, or his second wife, Elvira (both wives are only known by their given names, their parents and family name are unknown).[2] The first marriage was in about 865-870,[3] but the date of the second marriage is unknown, only that it had to have occurred by 23 November 898, when the second wife, Elvira donated a third of her assets to the Monastery of Santa María de Ferreira de Pallares, which she and her husband founded.[4]
Teresa Ériz married conde Gonzalo Betótiz and they had five children;[4]
Pelayo González;
Hermenegildo González;
Aragonta González;
Iberia González;
Gontrodo González
The date she died is unknown. Both she and her husband, (written as Gundesaluus and Tarasia) attest a charter dated to 20 November 929, where their daughter Aragonta made a donation to the monastery of Carboeiro for the soul of her late husband, Ordoño II, King of Leon.[4] There is also mention of a charter dated 936 where they both are mentioned as the founders of the San Lorenzo de Cargueiro monastery, but this is only mentioned in a secondary source and the primary document has not been found.[4],[1] This means that she definitely died after 20 November 929 and perhaps after 936.
