This conjecture of Keats-Rohan that she was a daugher of Heribert de Vermandois is based on the possession of the name Herbert by a son and further descendants of Hugues.[1] While such a marriage cannot be ruled out, the use of the word "probably" by Keats-Rohan to describe this marriage is a considerable overstatement. [2]
