  Notes	Isabeau was the daughter of Thomas Whitney and Philippes de Brouillart. She inherited the seigneuries of Champagne and Broullart in Normandy from her parents,[1] which passed to her husband Guillaume de Maillard when she married, and in turn to their son Vigor.[2] Isabeau and her husband are mentioned in several civil documents between November 1451 and November 1474.[3] Research notes The name Whitney was rendered phonetically by the French sources in several unusual forms for Isabeau and her father; now most commonly appearing in secondary sources (for her) as ‘Hutenay’.
