    • == Biography =='''NOTE''':This profile is not a "Filles à marier". She did not come to Nouvelle-France. It is the other [[Marchand-18|Catherine Marchand]] that is a Fille du Roi.
Catherine Marchand was born in the beginning of the 17th century in diocèse de La Rochelle, Aunis, France, probably in Saint-Saturnin-du-Bois (where here children were born between 1640 and 1647). She married Pierre Bergeron. They had at least 5 children, Suzanne (1640-), André (1642-1712), Catherine (1643-), François (1645-1726?), and Anne (1647-). Other possible children are Abraham (1641-), Étienne (1645-), and Gabriel (1647-)
Pierre and their son André (and three other sons?) emigrated to New France in 1665. It is likely that Catherine died before that date.
