George and wife, Bertha are living next door to his brother, Eugene L. and his sister, Julia M. who are living together. Eugene and Julia are still single in the 1880 census.

In the1880 census report, it mentions his father was born in Vermont and mother in New York. He worked in a shingle mill in Pine, Montcalm County, MI and lived in the Almon Griiffith household. No mention of his new wife, Bertha.

George married Griffin Bertha on 29 Oct 1879 in Howard City, Montcalm County, MI. Bertha was born about 1857 in Brooklyn, Kings County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
