Harte
This is the anglicized version of the Gaelic O' Hairt meaning "Descendant of Art", who was son of King Conn of the Hundred Battles. Harts in Ireland were of the Sept O' Hart, one of the four tribes of Tara and in Connacht appear under the spelling Harte. The motto for Harte is "A Faithful Heart".
