2. | Annable William Henry was born in 1829 in Stillwater, Saratoga Co., NY (son of Annable William and Esmond Sarah M.); died on 11 Sep 1885 in Jamestown, Ottowa County, Michigan. Notes: Wm. Henry Annable came to Michigan after Millie's birth, after Mary's death in May 1865 and before the 1870 Census. However, he had purchased 460 acresof land in Ionia Co. on June 5, 1858. (Per Register of Deeds Ionia County, Michigan; "William H. Annable of Saratoga, Saratoga County, New York", paid $4200 legal money for 460 acres in Sections 26 and 27 in Township 7 R 7.) William married Hughson Mary H. about 1847 in Saratoga County, Ny. Mary was born on 15 Jun 1828 in Saratoga County, NY; died on 05 May 1865 in Dean's Corners, Saratoga, Saratoga County, NY; was buried in Joseph Roger's Cemetery, Saratoga County, NY. 3. | Hughson Mary H. was born on 15 Jun 1828 in Saratoga County, NY; died on 05 May 1865 in Dean's Corners, Saratoga, Saratoga County, NY; was buried in Joseph Roger's Cemetery, Saratoga County, NY. Notes: Joseph Rogers Cemetery was visited by Louis V. Head, ancester of William H. and Mary Annable, in July, 1994. He found the cemetery heavily overgrown with trees and heavy brush and vines. Penetrating the overgrowth from the north west corner, just inside the fence line, a tombstone lying on a fallen fence post read "William W. Annable Dec. 20, 1857". The cemetery lies on a hill directly across the road from a nice brick bungalow which is also placed on a hill. The overgrowth and the mosquitoes discouraged and further exploration! 4. | Annable William was born about 1802 in Saratoga County, NY (son of Annable Ephraim and Delanee Lydia D.); died after 1860 in Saratoga, Saratoga County, NY. Notes: As of August 10, 1994, the first that Sarah E. is found as the wife of William Annable is the record of the deed of some property transmitted to William Henry Annable. The record of the deed is located in the Saratoga County Clerk's Office at Ballston Spa, New York, in Deed Book # 58, page 168, dated March 11, 1850. Wm. H. was 21 years old and his brother, Charles M., was 19 (see note from Census of 1850). William married Esmond Sarah M. about 1828. Sarah was born on 24 Jun 1798 in Saratoga, Saratoga County, NY; died on 20 Oct 1869 in Stillwater, Saratoga Co., NY; was buried in Viele Lodewecus Cemetery, Saratoga Co., NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart] |
5. | Esmond Sarah M. was born on 24 Jun 1798 in Saratoga, Saratoga County, NY; died on 20 Oct 1869 in Stillwater, Saratoga Co., NY; was buried in Viele Lodewecus Cemetery, Saratoga Co., NY. Notes: It is probable that Sarah E. Esmond was married prior to her marriage to William. The U. S. Census of 1850 of Saratoga, Saratoga County, New York lists Sarah living with William Annable. The 1855 Census, State of NY, lists the family of William Annable, but Sarah is not included. Since she had not died, and she is still absent at the 1860 Census, it may be that she had divorced William. Since her Will did not name either William H. Annable or his brother, Charles as heirs or nex of kin, it may be supposed that she was not their mother, but rather, probably, a step-mother. Isaac C. I. Barber may have been a son born of a previous marriage. Sarah was a Quaker as were all the Esmonds at that time. Notes: Married:
