- Death caused by farm accident on Julu 14. He had ret'd to farmyard from cutting grain in field and horses remained hitched while he made repairs on grain binder. The horses became suddenly frightened, dashing off in a wild gallop and thowing him upon the binder, resuliting in serious injury. Burial is in Montello Cemetery.
