| Notes |
- Sophia was the wife of Hermann von Salm, possibly anti-King of Germany.
They had two sons;
Hermann (II) von Salm, born circa 1070-1075;
Otto, born circa 1070-1075, succeeded as Graf von Rheineck.[1]
Given her sons birth in the time period 1070-1075 - this would possibly place Sophia's birth in about 1050.
She last appears in a charter dated to 23 September 1088, when she donated property to Gottweig.[1]
Ancestry
Her parents or family are never named. A secondary source may have listed her in the Formbach family, but she isn't named as a member of this family in the German Wikipedia article on the Grafschaft Formbach (County of Formbach) nor in the article of the Grafen von Formbach in the Medieval Lands database by Charles Cawley.
