| Notes |
- Renaud de Gourney occurs in the foundation deed of the priory of La Ferte en Bra (c. 990),[1] by Gautier de la Ferte, who appears to have been his younger son. In this document, Gautier mentions his father and mother, Renaud and Alberarda, and that he founded the priory at the command of his brother Hugh. (Ref: MS Histoire de Gournay)
"La Ferte was assigned to a younger branch of the house of Gournay before the Conquest." Hugh, son of Eudes (Otto), is the first to strengthen the defense of Gourney. Hugh was succeeded by Renaud de Gourney, (Planche, 1874, p. 111).[1]
